"How can we British be proud until we sit down with Greek politicians and arrange for the return of their treasure? It would be a dignified, but a thrilling celebration. No need for head-hanging apology or anything silly, just a recognition that the time is now right" - Stephen Fry commenting about the Return of the Parthenon Sculptures in 2011.
The Story
For years, I have been passionate about the return of the Parthenon Sculptures to Athens to be reunited at the Acropolis Museum overlooking the Acropolis. On 20 June 2018 I decided to travel to the British Museum and do a live protest seeking the reunification of the Marbles. The video and photograph of my protest which can be seen here went viral on social media and have had well over a million views worldwide. Since that time I have been overwhelmed by messages of support for my protest and the grassroots support I have received has been overwhelming. There are many organisations worldwide campaigning for the return of the Marbles. My intention is to support and to complement those groups as we strive to have the Parthenon reunited. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. I founded Reunite the Parthenon with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and I have been at it ever since.
